What an excellent bullet
camera. The technical specifications (specs) make it sound like
so many others - but the performance beats the numbers on this one.
The 380+ horizontal TV lines / 0.05 lux cam has an overall sharper
picture capable of performing in lower light situations than many
large 'high resolution' 480 line cameras in side-by-side comparisons
for true visual clarity and color. A great choice for a variety
of applications. With the newly revised 1/3" Sony Ex-View DSP
(digital signal processing) CCD imager chipset, this features unrivaled
low-light ability for color imaging. *However, it must be mentioned
that our #CC-5HR doesn't do quite the low-light performance, but
has the ultimate visual resolution for any color bullet camera yet
seen.

Alternate Equipment to Consider:
If you are considering
this camera, you absolutely MUST consider the NEW high resolution
color #CC-5HR instead. The CC-5HR is actually smaller and perfectly
cylindrical in shape, but uses the latest Sony® high resolution
SuperHAD® technology. Excellent in lower light conditions, it
just won't do quite the low lux color performance of the CC-5EX.
For the ultimate in LOW
LIGHT imaging, use our black and white #BW-4EX or the TINY #BW-4LL
instead.
We also carry several
infrared (IR) 'day-night' dual color-BW imaging cameras.
Cautions:
This camera's thread mount will accept other lenses we carry as
well. HOWEVER, the superwide 2.10mm/ 2.45mm and the highly telephoto
16mm/ 25mm lenses WILL NOT ALLOW the lens cap (with weatherproof
o-ring seal) to seat properly to camera body. Therefore, only 2.97mm,
3.6mm, 6mm, 8mm and 12mm lenses can be used to maintain weatherproof
aspect of camera. *This camera is not submersible.
Certain types of telephoto
lenses (12mm and *non-weatherproof 16mm / 25mm) may cause some picture
brightness alterations in certain lighting conditions with this
camera.
These bullet cameras
are great and are considered rugged, but care must be used when
handling the attached video /power cable. Most any problems ever
seen with our bullet cameras are caused by too much pulling stress
being applied, resulting in connection damage inside the camera.
