Unbelievable performance
for a pinhole camera! The 600+ horizontal
TV lines / 0.003 lux cam is one of the world's smallest 1/3" CCD
enclosed case camera and is capable of performing in lower light
situations and creating higher resolution than any other pinhole
camera. Newly revised 1/3" Sony® Ex-View® high resolution
DSP (digital signal processing) CCD imager chipset.
It should be noted that
we have six other black and white (monochrome) cameras with the
same ultra low-light capable chipset: #BW-5XLL (low lux pinhole),
#BW-5XLLM /XHRM (interchangeable mini board lens), #TV-BCSHR (high
resolution CS mount) and weatherproof bullets #BW-4LL and #BW-4EX.
The #BW-4XLL/EX and BW-5XLLM/XHRM are board lens cameras, which let
more light into the imager than a pinhole lens and actually allow
them to image in even lower lighting than this cam will do. However,
for any covert pinhole available, the BW-5XLL and BW-5XHR are unmatched
in low-light performance.

Variations / Alternate Equipment to Consider:
It should be mentioned
that very few people will notice a 'naked eye' difference between
the picture from #BW-5XLL and #BW-5XHR. So, for typical general or
security CCTV use, the high resolution factor could almost be considered
a waste of money. The high resolution aspect is reserved primarily
for those with advanced or specialized recording and/ or monitoring
applications and equipment.
Though not covert, we
also carry the #BW-5XLLM and #BW-5XHRM with interchangeable board
lenses available (2.45mm, 2.97mm, 6mm, 8mm, 12mm, 16mm).
Cautions:
This is a non-weatherproof
camera, and as such- must be treated with extra care and NEVER left
outdoors without the proper protective housings.
Fixed pinhole lens is
not interchangeable like many of our board-type lens cameras.
